About Hi-Line
Hi-Line Contractors originates back to 1998. We are a large independent firm of arborists and employ approximately 90 staff – mainly based out of our Exeter yard and also from our Bristol operation. Hi-Line's owner and Managing Director since inception is Hugh Griffiths.
Whilst Hi-Line has grown considerably in recent years and has major commercial contracts with Western Power Distribution and BT Openreach, the company still operates like a “family-run” business – our philosophy is that happy, well motivated and caring staff ultimately results in a high quality service for our clients.
We take Health and Safety extremely seriously and have a dedicated full-time H&S Manager to ensure that we comply with or exceed all relevant statutory and "industry best practice" requirements including:-
- All AFAG Safety Guidelines
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulation 1992
- LOLER Regulations
- PUWER 98 Regulations
- RIDDOR 98 Reporting
- BS 3998, 5837 and current best practice
We are fully insured to cover all aspects of our arboricultural services including:-
- Public Liability Insurance - £5 million
- Professional Indemnity Insurance - £500,000
- Employers Liability Insurance - £10million
Hi-Line invest heavily in our people through in-house and external training courses, and in equipment. We have our own in-house workshop which maintains all our vehicles and equipment to the highest standards.
